Toys for Tots December 2008

Many toys were collected at the Holiday Luncheon and given to Toys for Tots. Thanks to Lisa Fawcett, Co-op Services CU for delivering the toys!

 Food Pantry - Christ United Methodist Church on Detroit’s far east side

The Metro West Chapter was one of the larger contributors to the effort. The chapter fed more than 700 families. Each family was provided enough food to last a few days including a turkey, and sides, cereal, and some fresh produce.

Blankets of Love - Communicating Arts Credit Union

CACU has been collecting donations for blankets this season, and have already given 50 to a shelter for unwed mothers (Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries) and 65 to needy residents in Highland Park through the HP NAACP and the Greater St. Matthews Baptist church. They expect to distribute another 100 blankets.
